Our annual KIK Sports Day brought the Kindergarten children much joy. The importance of sport and physical activity have long been recognized to aid in the development of gross motor and fine motor skills as well as providing an opportunity to grow through teamwork, playing by the rules and learning to take turns.
The fun-filled morning began with a warm-up doing some action songs before participating in various races and games like Bean Bag relay, Noodle Hockey, Tug-of-War, Obstacle Course, Parachute, Hoola Hoop and Volleyball. After a short break, the children were able to run through the sprinklers to help them cool down. They enjoyed playing with their classmates and getting soaked through water activities with balloons and toys in the pool.
